If there is something really important about a successful engagement session is the Location you chose for your photos. The background is the second important thing about GREAT photos, of course the first one is YOU!!! 

I have been shooting more than 70 engagement sessions during the life of my business and I will love to share with you some of the best ones in Tampa area. If you are planning to have photos soon, you should take a quick view here to get more options about your location, tell your wedding photographer and talk with her/him about the best time for the light, weather and of course you can choose together the best location for your engagement session that fits best for you two.

1.- PHILLIPE PARK in SAFETY HARBOR, Fl: This one is my favourite for a natural organic style. It has a green area with beautiful big oak trees, has a small beach , so you can have water background and during sunset the romantic warm light makes it PERFECT>

2.- THE DALI MUSEUM: This one is for a more classic and elegant feeling, if you are looking for something more elegant or modern go here!!! This place is beautiful and has a lot of good spots to take gorgeous photos for your engagement session. St.Pete is always a good choice.

3.- SUNSET BEACH in TREASURE ISLAND : IF there is something you must have to consider is to going to the beach to take your engagement photos!! We are so close to the beach right? But there are so many and really pretty , but definitely one of the best ones is Sunset Beach. It has a great pavillion that helps to make more dynamic the session, has a rock jetty and green areas!!!

4.- HILLSBOROUGH RIVER STATE PARK : This park is perfect for a romantic engagement session, with canoes, a beautiful river as a background and green areas with big trees. The perfect place for an engagement session close to Tampa. Take a look in these photos and make plans for your next engagement session!!!

5.- AIRPORT / St.Pete Air School: This place is sooo different but fun, I had the chance to photograph a beautiful couple that decided to make something different. They dressed up as a vintage style, kind of 60's James Bond theme feeling. But you can also shoot here as a totally casual and fun engagement session. We did it during morning but I bet sunset time will be different, probably more romantic.

Sarasota engagement session | Annie + Keith

Keith and Annie met at Tampa General Hospital where Keith was starting his ear, nose, throat residency and Annie was beginning her first year as a nurse. She grew up in Tampa, Florida and he is from Sainte Genevieve, Missouri.

They both love to travel and enjoy spending time outdoors together. Keith has been teaching Annie how to golf and Annie is teaching Keith how to snowboard. Both are the sweetest couple on earth. We have been planning this engagement session for a month and even with many good ideas and options, these locations were the perfect match for them. Take a look at some pics of this wonderful engagement session.  We went to the Marina Jack first in Sarasota, the day was beyond beautiful, then we moved to the beach area. A friend of them gave them a tip about which beach could be ideal for the kind of session they wanted, and was AMAZING!! We found this spot with boats at the beach!!!

Indian Rocks Engagement Party | Dawn + Stephen

Dawn and Stephen had this amazing engagement party at friend's beautifully decorated house by the river in Indian Rocks. The party was just wonderful with live music, delicious food, and most importantly, all the family and friends around. The get together was intimate, yet welcoming at the same time. Everyone loved the engagement party so much that on Sunday February 26, 2017 the couple is going to have a wedding at the Oxford Exchange . It is going to be even more beautiful than this engagement party, even though that's a tough match!

Surprise Proposal at the beach of Clearwater, Fl | Baillie + Alex

Alex and Baillie have been together for almost three years now, they are from Canada but Baillie is working here in Tampa until next summer. So, Alex planned this beautiful surprise to her from Canada. Days before coming to Tampa, he contacted me to plan a beautiful session at the beach where he was planning to surprise her asking her to marry him. It was a beautiful and chilly day in Florida but everything went perfect We planned this moment days before, and this couldn't be more perfect. Baillie was super happy with the surprise  as  Alex !!!

I want to share here some of my favourites today ,yes today in Valentine's Day so we all celebrate this amazing moment with Baillie & Alex. Congratulations again guys!!!
