Jamaica Destination Wedding | Marisa & André Wedding

It all began in London, where these two traveling love birds flew into each other. André is from Jamaica and Marisa was born in Germany. They both lived in Canada at some point, but they were destined to meet in U.K. Since they travel extensively and have lived in so many countries, they have friends from all over the world. There were many factors that played into the final decision of choosing Jamaica to be the destination for their wedding. It is an exotic, hard to find, and such an aesthetic place for a wedding. Which was exactly what Marisa was hoping for, despite the fact that it was out of their home country and was difficult for some friends and family to reach. It is a place for relaxation and enjoyment, she wanted her guests to enjoy her wedding and have time for a mini vacation at the same time. They chose the Hyatt Ziva/Zilara Hotel because "it is a nice and well deserved placed", according to Marisa and André. 

This extraordinary wedding was dazzled with different shades of blue, purple, and pink with the occasional red, silver, grey, gold, and prominent white. The bride's beautiful open back dress had gorgeous designs, a nude effect created by translucent fabrics on the back, and was bedazzled with shimmering beads to emphasise the design on the torso dress piece from Lisa's Bridal Salon - Allure Bridals. The shoes had tiny, twinkling, tailored rhinestones and beads intricately designed by ALDO. The groom's apparel was an exquisite pacific blue suit from Moss Bros., a navy blue tie, and glossy leather shoes. The bride's maids sported lavishing, light-lavender dresses while the groomsmen donned a grey suit with pearly white ties accented with a white flower on the left side.

3 Reasons Why you should go LIVE during your wedding ceremony

One of the newest trends in weddings I have been seen often the last five months , is specially when the couple is doing a Destination wedding and they have family who couldn't make it to their wedding, they decided to GO LIVE !! Yes!!! GO LIVE by Facebook, YouTube or LIVESTREAM! 

I am going to give you three reasons why you should do a LIVESTREAM video during your wedding ceremony or wedding day!!!

1. DESTINATION WEDDINGS. Most of the couples who decide to do a destination wedding have the same problem , there is always someone who cannot make it in that day because they live far away, because they got sick or because it wasn't simply for them easy to travel at that moment . They feel happy and sad at the same time that they cannot be able to see what is happening or the beautiful set up the couple has for their ceremony, or just the exactly moment when the couple say I DO and kiss for the first time. Going LIVE is great to include those special  guests in your special day too.

2. ELOPEMENTS. There are couples who chose to have a really quite and intimate moment to get married. Elopements are a new trend and many people love to do this, enjoying just the two of them for a small ceremony and sometimes this ceremony also take place in a special location too. But in many cases they really want to share the moment just for their beloved ones. This is a great way to include the people you care most in a small LiVE video . Is still intimate and quiet but with some online LOVE too.

3. HEALTH PROBLEMS. We all have family who live far away from us, many times you cannot control live events like; sickness, accidents or pregnancies. This is a GREAT way to include those guests who had a special situation and may be will not be able to make it to the wedding day. In this way they will share with you the special moment in real time. They will be more than grateful and happy with you two for make this kind of act to them, so they can be part of your wedding day and enjoy it IN REAL TIME.

So, think about these reasons; if you are having a Destination wedding, or have family and friends that probably are not going to be able to make it to your wedding day for different reasons. Then this is a very good option to make them part of such a special day in your lives.

When you have the chance to go to Europe and shoot a beautiful wedding, you also set up a Trash the dress session with your couple!! This beautiful couple took me to this gorgeous beach close to their hometown in Portugal. We spent together the last hour before the sunset, it was a beautiful and gorgeous day, the rocks, the wind, etc. Even the weather couldn't be more perfect to make the perfect Bridal shooting  with Janet & Rui just a couple of days after their wedding day.

Portugal Rustic Wedding | Destination Wedding | Janet & Rui

If there is something I love about Portugal then it's the unique summer days it has... even in summer you can feel that fresh breeze from the Atlantic Ocean. The morning of Janet & Rui's wedding was an absolutely beautiful... sunny day , warm and blue skies. We started the day cruising around to shoot the getting ready photos with them. I was a guest too, so I had to be ready before her and of course shoot some detail shots before leaving the house in the morning... Janet's dress was a beautiful Ivory lace dress with an open back. Her mom designed the veil and put a beautiful ribbon to the dress with a flower fabric. She used baby breaths flowers for EVERYTHING!!! It was a beautiful flower to look at in every single piece of decoration, in her bouquet, they even made center pieces with those and of course boutonnieres and more. She did a first look with her dad, and he had the most amazing expression ever!!! He was super happy to see her dressed as a bride, She looked GORGEOUS!! Then we did a small first look with her brothers, Godson and Goddaughter, it was beautiful to share with her those moments. There were people from Germany, Portugal, US, and France.... a mix of languages but everyone with the same culture... Janet & Rui also did ALL the decoration displayed starting from the jar with flowers to the wooden palettes , signs, games, etc.

When we arrived at the church everyone was already waiting for her... the ceremony was short, beautiful and full of emotions. They went direct to her house and then we spent like half an hour taking portraits at the old wind mill close to the house. The reception was super fun, romantic and with the most beautiful sunset in many years!!! 

They did fireworks during the cake and finally we ended the party dancing, dancing and more dancing  ... take a look at this beautiful wedding in Portugal it was breathtaking, perfect and romantic!!! CONGRATULATIONS to Janet & Rui - you are amazing, we love you and we wish you ALL the happiness in the world!
