Rizzo’s family is one of my favorites so far… This spot is actually in a neighborhood, great example that we dont need to go to the most fancy or trendy location to have awesome photos.

This beautiful family showed with a grogeous boho style in olives huges. Olive is one if the most trendy color palette for family sessions in this area, Florida has so many beautiful parks and open spaces that we love to do sessions in natural spots like this one.

This small spot had the perfect lighting for this family session, it was hot and humid.. but this family rocked their session showing their best smiles and hanging out with us for 45 minutes!!

Later we will be doing mini Holiday sessions in this same spots in Wesley Chapel, because it also has a lake behind that its SOOO PERFECT for Christmas family portraits, stay tuned for more info soon!

I love to have parts during the session… first I try to do portraits of all the family members together, then I try to get each parent with the kids and with each of them… this bring a better and more complete gallery.

Also, each parent love to have a moment with his/her kids. Check these next set of photographs.

IF you have a session before sunset, try to prepare your kids, talk to them about the session. Talk to them about HOW great is going to be, the amazing pictures you will have to decor your home, etc. Talk about the session as something FUN, NICE and ENJOYABLE… so they fill it before the session start.

Also, you can think about bringing snacks, water, some toys or treats. Let them have a great rest one night before and give them a good meal before the session. This will help them to enjoy the moment and have a wonderful time too.

Philippe Park Safety Harbor Family session, Christmas mini session

One of the most wonderful places in town is definitely Philippe Park in Safety Harbor. This park has so many spots that give your the BEST views for a portrait session. We love this place and we have been shooting here maternity sessions, family sessions, headshots, portraits, engagement sessions, smash cakes , etc

Today we are sharing Isabel and Karl’s family session . They had their maternity sessions in this same place, so the park has a very special meaning for all of us. We met here and we had so many good memories that we decided to go again here and spent a gorgeous afternoon taking their Christmas cards photos.

This beautiful place just open a couple of days before we shoot this session . Bonnet Springs Park located in Lakeland, Fl has a very special mission, enrich our community through nature, culture , recreation and education. This Park serves to unify the city’s spaces diverse population, offering public spaces that serve the needs of many by providing engaging and diverse opportunities in education and recreation to residents and visitors.

When Tricia told me about this place months ago, we were super excited to come here and have the chance to shoot a family session. Specially for the month of November. When we arrived we got surprised by the beautify of this place. Tricia and her family were there already enjoying a gorgeous day in Florida.

To be honest we could spent hours in this park walking to have photos… every single spot is beautiful. The park looks green and clean, we love the big trees and the walk paths … it has so many great spots to sit and enjoy the sunset. the bridges built with wood make this place PERFECT!! My favorite spot of all (as much as we can walk through and see) was the tree house!!

A gorgeous and BIG tree house with AC , YES you read correctly it has AC!!! Picnic tables and games to enjoy with the family!!!

Hyde park family session, South Tampa photographer

Crystal and James are my clients for more than four years now… they are always a pleasure to work with. Their family is sweet and adorable. I love how the girls are growing and looking gorgeous every time we met for sessions. Even if they sometimes dont want to take pics, we always have fun and had amazing portraits of them.

This time the locations was Hyde Park Village in Tampa, we had a session here before when Hannah was a baby girl. But today we are sharing a session in this same place with two little girls rocking their session with fun dances, smiles and ICE CREAM!! YEAH !! They had an ice cream at the end of the session in ODD FELLOWS ice cream shop .

Ok lets talk about their outfits. This time they showed with blue hues and some light pink touches. I LOVE IT!! It’s so beautiful and perfect for a portrait session; Crystal has an idea of hanging some big frames at their home, so they went with a neutral color… but they are using also those images for their Christmas cards.

When your have the chance to do a family session I would recommend to think about the colors and style … even if you are shooting a session during Christmas time, think about the future or the propose to the images. Sometimes my clients dont do more than one session every year, so they have to go with colors that can use every year in their frames… and may be they add some things or props of Christmas to “add that Christmas feeling” .
