Michele and Jose planned a beautiful Sunday morning to do their engagement session, we NEVER thought that this day will be raining so much. When we arrived the park, Michele was a little bit disappointed with the weather, of course I did what I do best. Be honest with my clients and told her WHAT AN AMAZING opportunity was to have a rainy engagement session. For me (a super fan of Nicholas Sparks) was PERFECT to shot an engagement session ; they most romantic ideas came to my mind thinking about this beautiful place, this gorgeous couple and soooo many poses and moments we can recreate with the rain.

So, we started with the beautiful entrance, it was cover so we can try to shoot at least some portraits before get wet. This place is beautiful, I had never been there before, but I tried to scout on line all the place. Even we couldn't stop as much as we can in the rain, we had SO MANY beautiful images for their adorable engagement rainy session. 

This exactly location looks like a Spanish house in the middle of the forest!! This is the place where they are going to say I DO the next month of October!! Can't wait to be here again!.

Tampa Top 5 Locations for engagement sessions | Tampa wedding photographer

If there is something really important about a successful engagement session is the Location you chose for your photos. The background is the second important thing about GREAT photos, of course the first one is YOU!!! 

I have been shooting more than 70 engagement sessions during the life of my business and I will love to share with you some of the best ones in Tampa area. If you are planning to have photos soon, you should take a quick view here to get more options about your location, tell your wedding photographer and talk with her/him about the best time for the light, weather and of course you can choose together the best location for your engagement session that fits best for you two.

1.- PHILLIPE PARK in SAFETY HARBOR, Fl: This one is my favourite for a natural organic style. It has a green area with beautiful big oak trees, has a small beach , so you can have water background and during sunset the romantic warm light makes it PERFECT>

2.- THE DALI MUSEUM: This one is for a more classic and elegant feeling, if you are looking for something more elegant or modern go here!!! This place is beautiful and has a lot of good spots to take gorgeous photos for your engagement session. St.Pete is always a good choice.

3.- SUNSET BEACH in TREASURE ISLAND : IF there is something you must have to consider is to going to the beach to take your engagement photos!! We are so close to the beach right? But there are so many and really pretty , but definitely one of the best ones is Sunset Beach. It has a great pavillion that helps to make more dynamic the session, has a rock jetty and green areas!!!

4.- HILLSBOROUGH RIVER STATE PARK : This park is perfect for a romantic engagement session, with canoes, a beautiful river as a background and green areas with big trees. The perfect place for an engagement session close to Tampa. Take a look in these photos and make plans for your next engagement session!!!

5.- AIRPORT / St.Pete Air School: This place is sooo different but fun, I had the chance to photograph a beautiful couple that decided to make something different. They dressed up as a vintage style, kind of 60's James Bond theme feeling. But you can also shoot here as a totally casual and fun engagement session. We did it during morning but I bet sunset time will be different, probably more romantic.

Sarasota engagement session | Annie + Keith

Keith and Annie met at Tampa General Hospital where Keith was starting his ear, nose, throat residency and Annie was beginning her first year as a nurse. She grew up in Tampa, Florida and he is from Sainte Genevieve, Missouri.

They both love to travel and enjoy spending time outdoors together. Keith has been teaching Annie how to golf and Annie is teaching Keith how to snowboard. Both are the sweetest couple on earth. We have been planning this engagement session for a month and even with many good ideas and options, these locations were the perfect match for them. Take a look at some pics of this wonderful engagement session.  We went to the Marina Jack first in Sarasota, the day was beyond beautiful, then we moved to the beach area. A friend of them gave them a tip about which beach could be ideal for the kind of session they wanted, and was AMAZING!! We found this spot with boats at the beach!!!
